A powerful song. I searched it out after reading that two US astronauts are stranded in space aboard Boeing's 'Starline Capsule'. 26.6.24. I hope experts on earth can solve this problem and get them back safely.

Such a long time since I last saw one of your videos. Great job, as usual! Got to thank the algorithm for making it pop up in my content feed. I still remember that the last video of yours I watched was that of Ms. Hollett's online memorial. Her demise came as a shock, but know that she is still remembered to this day. Greetings from Spain!
thank you very much

It's your fault is a good one .
I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news . You two were both so watchable and brought some light relief to learning and teaching English . I 'm so very sorry for your loss.
I heard a podcast from Learn English with Rachel where Vicki was a guest on that episode. I heard her voice and instantly loved her, the way she talked gently and wholesome. I looked for her RUclips channel and saw this video. Cant believe! just so sad. 😞

If we say a song is ironic, what does that mean?

I have a question It's ...likely that this novel will win a literally prize. options: a. totally b. deeply c. strongly d. highly they looks so samiliar. I have no idea which one is correct
Thanks! I love the rule of replacing "he" or "him" with "who" or "whom". That is very helpful. I used a rule similar to that, to remind me when to use "him and me" or "he and I", until they sounded correct to me. Actually, I read long ago that "me and him" is the proper order of words, as opposed to "him and me", so I used that for a very long time. I learned the correct order a few years ago, but it still doesn't naturally sound correct to me. Most people would find this pedantic, but I enjoy learning new things. and once a person knows something is incorrect, why would they want to continue to do it incorrectly? By the way, I'm happy to learn about "creating social distance". I try to adjust my style of communication according to whom "😁" I'm communicating with, and I didn't know there is an actual label for that. If I explain that to someone, I always say that a person feels more distanced from someone when they feel like that "someone" is speaking pretentiously. Of course, that means I rarely write or speak formally. 🫤 As a side note, if anyone notices any incorrect grammar in this comment, please let me know! 😄 It's rare to come across someone who actually wants to be corrected, so I understand why most people don't do it, but those of us who do want to learn suffer for it!
This helped me so much. & I figured out 'American' as a language, is not a language at all but instead a misperceived slang developed from lack of education. Ask Americans what language they speak 😏
Speaking as an American (this is Jay writing back to you), I want to point out to you, that American English is just one of many 'Englishes' around the world - each with its own unique pronunciation and vocabulary - and each deserving of respect. I urge you simply search on the web for "Many Englishes." The results will broaden your horizon. Thanks for watching. - Jay
god bless you teachers.

Carter is helpful, but Carter could do things more efficiently in less time or in a less wet-slipper manner.

lots of mystery.. i am japanese but (in despite english is not my primary language) i always speak as a nonrothic english.. for some obscure and paranormal reasons, i have tried a lot to be a "rothic" girl (usa, canada kind) but nothing work )' : so i had to continued in the nonrothic way "(^ . ^)"... floor (fleow), truck (twock), curtain (keuten), trailer (tewele), warning (woening) and in some cases, for example "piece of paper near that person", it may sounding like "pace ea pape nee that peson" etc... some people say that "kind of sound" is sexi on girl but i do not know what to say since i only know that accent "(¬ . ¬)"... so yes, its a lots of "mystewee" 💕
@azumi-osaki, it is very admirable that you are working so hard and getting the 'r' sound right. But, the most important thing is that you are able to communicate with other English speakers, and it seems to me, you are doing that already. So I recommend that you continue to practice, but have confidence that you are being understood. Thanks so much for watching our videos. - Jay
@@SimpleEnglishVideos thank you for your support "(^ . ^)"
Nice lesson ❤
I love "thee" way you guys are teaching while having fun.
